NIKKOL NIKKOMULESE® 41S is a complex O/W emulsifier composed of polyglyceryl fatty acid esters, higher alcohols, and anionic surfactants. It forms a gel-network structure with liquid crystals in water or around oil droplets. After application, it creates a hydrophobic film derived from the gel-network structure, delivering excellent water resistance and long-lasting moisturizing effect.
As a result, sunscreens with a UV water resistance can be easily formulated using NIKKOL NIKKOMULESE® 41S.
COSMOS approved, RSPO compliant with high naturality (0.98, ISO 16128).
NIKKOL NIKKOMULESE® 41S keeps SPF even after 80 min immersion.

*ISO 18861 is the new standard of the “waterproof“ claim on packaging started from Dec 2022 in Japan.
Emollient effects of O/W emulsions prepared with NIKKOL NIKKOMULESE® 41 and POE-type emulsifiers were evaluated by SKICOS 301 at 23℃ and 45% relative humidity. The results showed that O/W emulsion prepared with NIKKOL NIKKOMULESE® 41 provided longer lasting emolliency to the skin.
